Tea and Monacles

Naomi was having fun with some broken sunglasses the other day.



She put on her British accent (which is actually recognizable) and said, "Mum, Do you like my monacles?"  "Do you mean spectacles?  Small glasses can be called spectacles."  Back to American accent, with force, "No Mom!  Monacles, that stick on your eye like the Cinderella King!"  "Oh, right, he has a monacle.  That's what you have today?" "Yeah, Two of 'em." 

And a few minutes later, back to the British accent, "Look Mum, you have to have tea when you have monacles!" 

Naomi is so great at pretending and not-so-great at listening to anything that contradicts an idea she already has.  We're hoping that turns into unwavering faith and Biblical truth as she grows!
