Here's a picture of my shopping for this week. I stuck to the rules of the pantry challenge and paid $30.25. Not all items are in the picture. I've noted in parenthesis why the purchase of any dry or canned goods is allowed.
gallon of organic milk
2 pounds cheddar
15 pounds potatoes
2 boxes of stash tea
2 bottles of karo syrup (for Christmas baking)
1 jar pickles (completely out)
1 jar relish (completely out)
box of organic lettuce
cucumber
4 pounds bananas
5 bottles Russian salad dressing (for next freezer meal swap)
10 boxes Nabisco crackers (FREE after mail-in rebate)
1 container sour cream (44 cents!)
6 yogurt cups
1 Freschetta pizza (for family movie night this weekend)
1 Newman's own pizza (for family movie night next weekend)
Wish me luck this week!

but wait, it looks like you have 6 boxes of crackers in that picture - you can't possibly eat that many crackers in one week!
ReplyDeleteThere are actually 10 boxes of crackers, Emily. Getting the item for FREE is one of the exceptions for adding to the pantry - like food from the church kitchen or food gifts from friends. These crackers were FREE with mail-in rebate so I was within the rules. Good eye!
