Today's shopping trip was $27.82. We usually budget $50/week, but with Ed's layoff I'm trying to stay well below that.
Walgreen's has a good deal on pull-ups this week (thru 7/18). They are $10/pack and if you buy two packages you'll get a $5 "Register Reward" voucher for your next visit to the store. That's $7.50 per package, but you can also use $3/1 package internet coupons to make the price only $4.50 per package. Print the coupons here. Most internet coupon printing sites allow you to print two coupons per computer.
Albertson's has been running a deal every week where they have selected sale items included as "Mix & Match" items as well. If you purchase 10 of these "Mix & Match" items you receive an additional $5 off, basically an extra 50 cents per item. Albertson's has also been offering double coupons which make great deals even better. These can be found in their weekly ad, the Sunday paper, the Sunday coupon inserts, or a combination of those locations. If there are coupons in the weekly ad, most stores have extra copies of those ads available to give customers. Just ask!
Here are the deals I got:
Pull-Ups: $10 each ($3.00) (2.50RR) = $4.50 each
Cottonelle - 12 double rolls: $5.99 (1.00 doubled) = $3.99
Dannon yogurt: $0.39 each
Digornio Flatbread Melt: $2.50 (Free coupon) = FREE
Bananas: $0.88/lb much higher than the 59 cents available elsewhere, but I didn't want to go to another store.
Mix & Match ($5 off):
Ragu spaghetti sauce: $1.99 ($.50 MM) ($.60) = $0.89
Ragu spaghetti sauce: $1.99 ($.50 MM) ($.30) = $1.19
Honey Nut Cheerios: $2.49 ($.50 MM) ($1.00/2 doubled) = $0.99 each
Kraft BBQ Sauece: $0.99 ($.50 MM) ($.50) = FREE
Kraft Salad Dressing: $1.99 ($.50 MM) ($1.00 doubled) = FREE plus $0.51 overage
Darigold Cottage Cheese: $1.99 ($.50 MM) ($.40) = $1.09
Tillamook Cheese -8 oz: $1.69 ($.50 MM) = $1.19 each
Happy Shopping!
