Snow Day!

We have lots of beautiful snow outside and Daddy decided to stay home today! Thank goodness because these girls have been begging to play outside and snow is just not Mama's cup of tea.

Praising the Lord for 4-Wheel Drive as we are picking up family at the airport tomorrow! I hope our California and Colorado family are fine with some snow.

Spaghetti & Meatballs

Eve and Naomi have turned a corner in playing well together. It is a delight to watch them interact peacefully and just having a genuine good time together.

They often decide together what activity they'll pursue. This photo is of some spaghetti and meatballs they made when they were sitting together at the craft table. They also decide which songs to sing in the car and just how their imagination play will play out ahead of time. Those are pretty funny conversations to listen in on.

"No, she's hungry so she has to have lunch."
"OK. She likes tacos so she can have tacos for lunch. And after lunch she has to get ready for the wedding.
"Oh yeah, she should wear her purple dress and a crown!"
"Yeah, and Princess Leia buns!"

"Oh yeah, he's supposed to marry Ariel . . . It's OK - It's just pretend."

Phoebe Update

Phoebe is growing and getting more social all the time. She sleeps 10-11 hours at night and naps much of the day so most of our interaction is feeding and diaper changes.

We get lots of smiles and she especially loves singing which her sisters love to supply for Phoebe's enjoyment.

At her 2 month checkup Phoebe was 23 inches long (60th percentile) and 11#6oz (50th percentile). She's just a little thing compared to her sisters, but we'll see what happens in the months ahead.

Pants - 33X36 or 34X34 (he likes 34X34 better to sit lower on the hips, but both fit)

So Eve and I were working on her reading lesson today and I heard some mysterious thumping coming from another part of the house. Naomi was in her room, Phoebe was sleeping, so I figured Joanna had found something to bang. A few minutes later I went to find her and found this:
